Meet Our Staff


Matt is the shelter's Development Director. His role is to help help raise funds to support the shelter as we grow and care for more animals . He joined the shelter in November of 2018 as a part time kennel tech. Shortly after he became full time helping train new kennel staff and  implementing  new protocols . He moved to our community in 2009 from Huron county. He is a father of two and Reverend to family and friends. He has spent his life training horses, and caring for the elderly, specifically Alzheimer's patients. He has previously worked with Gods little critters and has devoted his life to learning how to care for and train animals. His hobbies include spending time with his children in nature, hiking, landscaping, and helping families in need. 

Development Director


Jacci is the shelter's kennel manager and receptionist. She joined us in December of 2018. Jacci starts her day with the kennel staff making sure all the animals are cared for and the shelter is clean. She then spends her afternoons at the front desk answering phones, processing adoptions, and keeping the shelter in order. Jacci has 5 daughters and a wonderful husband. In her free time she enjoys camping, reading, going to all of her children's extra-curricular activities, and watching college football. 

Kennel Manager/Receptionist


Paige is the shelter's technician assistant and receptionist. She assists the RVT on a daily basis making sure all the animals have appropriate vaccines, tests, and medication needed for adoption. She joined the shelter in July of 2018. She is currently enrolled at Penn Foster  studying to become an RVT. She lives with her 2 year old son and they enjoy exploring the outdoors. 

Receptionist/Vet tech Assistant


Payton is the shelter's Humane agent. She is responsible for responding to all animal welfare and neglect calls. She also serves as a shelter receptionist when that isn't keeping her busy. She joined the shelter in August of 2017. Payton lives in Tiffin with her boyfriend, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. In her spare time she enjoys watching anime, reading manga, and playing video games. Payton works hard every day to prevent and end animal cruelty and neglect. 

Humane Agent


Angie is the shelter's RVT, or registered veterinary technician. She joined the shelter team in November of 2018 after spending 13 years working in the veterinary industry. She is responsible for  the day to day health and welfare of animals that come into the shelter. In cooperation with shelter vet she makes sure all animals are treated promptly for any illnesses and are made ready for spay/neuter and ultimately adoption. In her "free" time she enjoys crafting, reading, and spending quality time with her 3 children.
